In The Classroom
Comics in the classroom
Educators today, no matter their content, are all teachers of reading. We are faced every day with students from diverse backgrounds and with varied needs. Introducing comic books/graphic novels into your units and lessons can meet students where they’re at, acting as a remediation tool for students in need and an enrichment tool for students who are pushing forward, and push them to new levels of success.

Games in the classroom
Teachers are always looking for a new approach to support their students in content and skill acquisition. When students are young, educators often do this through play where they introduce games to support kids to achieve all of their goals.
Somewhere along the way, though, the games begin to be fewer and further between.
Bring them back! Games (video, tabletop, and role-playing) can be transformative in the secondary grades, helping to build both content and life skills.
